Introduction

So, I am Cypriot. By definition, eating should be my top hobby. And it certainly is. Although I’d eat pretty much anything going, a mixed pitta of souvlakia is by far my favourite dish.

OK, I do like fillet stakes, I don’t mind lobsters either. However, in the imaginary world where I get stranded on a desert island and get one choice to a dish, I’ll ask the genie for a mixed souvlaki – sheftalia.

I am not alone. All Cypriots wish to discover the perfect souvlaki - whether they openly admit to it or not. And as I have not found a forum to discuss this on, I have created this blog.

So this is my quest. I shall update my blog haphazardly whenever something worth mentioning comes along. I pledge to decorate it with photos and perhaps videos off my mobile. I will name and shame the establishments not up to scratch but will shower praise over those worthy.
